Hydrogeology
Hydrogeology department is including on five units, Geology, Geophysics, Supervision for drilling and completing wells, Water Quality and Mathematical Model. All units are share together to achieve the optimal integrated groundwater management taking into consideration the economic, social and environmental dimensions.
Objectives:
- Conducting Hydrogeological exploration by using geology, geomorphology, and geophysics to locate the best sites for promising groundwater aquifer.
- Qualitative and quantitative interpretation for well logging for optimal well design.
- Conducting step and continuous pumping tests to achieve the well equation and determine the hydraulic parameters of the ground water aquifers.
- Construction of mathematical models to develop optimal scenarios for safe sustainable groundwater use.
